Lord Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama, is believed to have lived somewhere between 563 BCE and 483 BCE. Buddhists regard him as a prophet of God. Some Hindus believe him to be the most recent incarnation of Vishnu. Images and statues of him are used to represent peace in homes, temples, churches, and many other public places throughout the world. Statues of deities serve as a visual reminder of qualities of God, and statues of Buddha remind us of his teachings of living a life of non- suffering through the practice of non-attachment. A statue of Buddha is a useful image in creating a space for meditation.
Gayatri Garden Accents has a large collection of Buddhas that have been hand carved out of lava stone, green stone, and wood. We also have small cast concrete and terra cotta Buddha statues.
